SawStop Contractor Saw: The SawStop® Contractor Saw offers versatility,    reliability, and safety for a variety of users. Available in a 30” standard fence assembly, 36”, or 52” T-Glide fence assembly. With over 150 unique configurations, the Contractor Saw is the most configurable SawStop saw. Two steel extension wings are included. Adding a mobile base, sliding crosscut table or router table, are just a few of the ways to make this your ideal saw.

Equipped with AIM: Active Injury Mitigation – SawStop’s revolutionary safety system reduces what could be a potentially life-changing injury into a scratch by stopping the spinning blade on contact with skin. Owning a SawStop means having best-in-class performance without compromising your safety.

1. Detect – The blade carries a small electrical signal. When skin contacts the blade, the signal changes because the human body is conductive. The change to the signal activates the safety system.
2. Drop – An aluminum brake springs into the path of the blade. The blade comes to a complete stop and power to the motor is shut off.
3. Stop – After the blade comes to a stop, the blade’s angular momentum drives it beneath the table, removing the risk of subsequent contact. All of this happens in less than 5 milliseconds.
4. Reset – Resetting the saw yourself is easy. Simply inspect the blade (and change if damaged) and replace the brake cartridge, and your saw is operational. The entire process takes 90 seconds and you’re back to work.
